In December, our Annual Holiday Catered Party/Networking Meeting, (free to members)
is held on the first Monday. Where do you hold your monthly meetings?
How should I dress to attend a meeting? Comfortable clothes are suggested. most people dress more formally for our Annual Holiday Party Are meetings ever cancelled because of inclement weather? In the rare event that a meeting had to be cancelled, you would be notified by an email. You could also call the MREIA Secretary. How are National Speakers selected by MREIA? It is our policy that a National Speaker’s previous presentation has been witnessed and recommended by a current or past Board member. MREIA does not endorse any speakers. Members are directed to seek appropriate legal, accounting and/or other professional advice before entering into any business transactions.
How do I become a member? You may join by returning to the Home Page and clicking on “Enroll/Renew ONLINE” or by attending a General Meeting. Do you have a Code of Ethics? Yes. We expect our members to abide by the guidelines which have been set forth in previous newsletters. We reserve the right to revoke the membership of any member (including our vendors) who violates our Code of Ethics. Do you offer mentoring? No. Our primary mission is to provide education through meetings, seminars, monthly Saturday morning breakfasts, a large monthly e-newsletter and networking. You will be able to speak with experienced members at general meetings. We do NOT recommend that you give thousands of dollars to those who offer mentoring. Ultimately, it is YOU who must do your homework and put together your own team of professionals to guide you. How are the meetings structured? 6:30 pm

offer? Our primary mission is EDUCATION. We are a non-profit corporation whose Board of Directors is comprises of elected and appointed unpaid officers. We invite National Speakers only 3-4 times per year. The other meetings are conducted by NEW JERSEY LOCAL SPEAKERS who are willing to share their expertise. [Click on “Past Events”] I’m a beginner in real estate. Will the meetings be over my head? Unlikely; many of our members are also beginners and speakers always teach basic information before moving to more advanced concepts. Do you also have
seminars? Yes, on Saturdays, about 3-4 times a year, we sponsor very knowledgeable speakers who present all-day seminars. Breakfast and lunch is usually included in the tuition fee and MREIA members receive a discount off the regular price. Do you also hold Q&A sessions? Yes,
we run two Q&A Saturday breakfasts simultaneously for the geographic
convenience of our members. The breakfasts are held once a month, depending on whether or not we are sponsoring an all-day seminar. The $10 charge is open to members only and defrays the cost of the breakfast. Does MREIA sell its membership list to others? Absolutely not! We zealously guard our members’ privacy and the database is only available to authorized members of the Board of Directors. What types of membership do you have? ·
Active: free admission to all general meetings; monthly newsletter; vendor
discounts (Annual Dues are $125). ·
Associate: free admission to all general meetings for additional members living in the same household (Annual Dues
are $50). ·
Vendor: includes all of the active member benefits and additional privileges depending on the Vendor Level chosen

You do not have to register in advance of a meeting. Should you decide to join during or by the end of the meeting, the $20 fee will be credited toward your annual membership fee.
